Interested in becoming a member of bikemarshals.ie?

We are a voluntary group aiming to provide a professional-level service. See the ABOUT section for more details about the group, and the strong connection with "Blood Bikes".

Training locations are currently in Ennis, Oranmore, Portlaoise, Dublin and Mallow. Over time further training locations will be rolled out.

The main requirements for BikeMarshals.ie riders are detailed alongside. We can assist riders in achieving these requirements.

We are keen to develop a network of trained motorcycle marshals and we know the group will benefit from the experience of others.

The requirements for bikemarshals.ie riders

Bikemarshals.ie riders will have a minimum motorcycle advanced training award of RoSPA Silver of Gold.

BikeMarshals.ie riders will receive specialised marshalling training from experienced motorcycle marshals. Contact us for details.

BikeMarshals.ie has developed an assessment process by an independent assessor. Those who pass are awarded the M-Craft certificate.

BikeMarshals.ie riders will have a minimum First Aid qualification. We recommend "First Bike On Scene" Emergency Response Skills course. Marshals will carry basic first aid kits when supporting events.

Bikemarshals.ie is a voluntary group of riders who aim to enhance the levels of safety for your event on public roads.

In 2015 we supported 23 events across 5 counties. In 2016 we supported 44 events across 10 counties. We intend to develop a network of trained motorcycle marshals nationwide.
